Presentation:

Topic: Anatomy of a Financial Investigation - The speakers will start with an initial response by a police officer from a local precinct and walk the attendees through the phases of the investigation to include:

- Interview
- Search/Arrest Warrant
- Computer Forensic Examination
- Judicial Action
- Sentencing.
 

SPEAKER PROFILE:

Mr. McDowell and Ms. Coyne are members of the Baltimore Federal Fraud Task Force (BFFTF), U.S. Secret Service, Baltimore Field Office.  Mr. McDowell is a special agent for the U.S. Secret Service, Baltimore Field Office. He is a computer forensics examiner with over 4 years of service.  Mr. McDowell is trained as a criminal investigator at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco, GA and at the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), Beltsville, MD.  Mr. McDowell has obtained advanced training in computer forensic investigations conducted at FLETC, Glynco, GA.

Ms. Coyne has 20 years of service as a detective, Baltimore County Police Department, Economic Crimes Unit.  Ms. Coyne is trained at the Baltimore County Police Training Academy in
multiple criminal disciplines and has advanced training in financial and computer crimes.

DIRECTIONS: From South: Take Rt. I95 North to 695 East towards Glen Burnie. Follow 695 to Exit 8, N. Hammonds Ferry Road. Bear right and Snyder’s just off of exit 

From North: Take I95 South to 695 East towards Glen Burnie. Follow 695 to Exit 8, N. Hammonds Ferry Road. Bear right and Snyder’s just off of exit. 

If you come from the Parkway North or South, take 695 West to Towson, Take Exit 8, Nursery Rd, (one exit from Parkway), Bear right at end of exit, go under 695, turn right onto N. Hammonds Ferry Rd. Snyder’s 2 blocks on right.
