Monthly Meeting
Finance would be virtually unthinkable without the humble spreadsheet. Attendees will be provided advice on how to minimize the risks of using this ubiquitous business tool.
Mr. Struthers-Kennedy will discuss the reality of spreadsheet risk and why it is a hot topic now. He will review the Protiviti approach for spreadsheet risk and explore the practicalities of compliance and the use of spreadsheet software under the guidance of SOX.
SPEAKER PROFILE:
Mr. Struthers-Kennedy is a Technology Risk Senior Manager from Protiviti, a leading provider of Internal Audit and Risk Consulting services. He completed his MS in Information Security and CISA qualifications with a Big 4 practice before transferring to Protiviti to establish the Technology Risk Division in London and now works out of Columbia, Maryland.
Mr. Struthers-Kennedy specializes in helping businesses manage risks associated with Technology with key areas of focus in Sarbanes-Oxley, IT audit, data analysis and project assurance. Andrew is also one of Protiviti's subject matter leads for its Spreadsheet Risk service line and has worked with global top 5 financial services, energy and insurance companies to help them address their spreadsheet risks.

If you come from the Parkway North or South, take 695 West to Towson, Take Exit 8, Nursery Rd, (one exit from Parkway), Bear right at end of exit, go under 695, turn right onto N. Hammonds Ferry Rd. Snyder’s 2 blocks on right.
