The ISACA Central Maryland Chapter invites you to our training session on Thursday, May 11, 2006 (Joint Meeting with the Maryland Chapter, Certified Fraud Examiners).   The topic for this session is Analysis of Audit, Anti-fraud and Assurance Software.  Auditors, IT professionals, and internal control specialists will benefit from this session. The training session is conveniently located at Snyders Willow Grove easily accessible off of the Baltimore Beltway from I-95 or 295.

SPEAKER PROFILE:

Rich Lanza (CPA, CFE, PMP) is President of Cash Recovery Partners, L.L.C. and a Director at CPA2Biz  where he mainly focuses on using audit and assurance software to improve business intelligence, increase efficiencies, and identify bottom-line savings. 

From a professional community perspective, Rich has founded a Web community on the use of audit software.
    
Rich is a leading authority on the use of audit and assurance technology with a focus on these tools over the last 12 years.  He recently chaired the first-ever audit and assurance software expo and was the author of a comprehensive article on the topic for the Institute of Internal Auditors.  He has founded a website devoted to the use of audit software to further the use of these tools.  In addition, Rich has written written books, software, and numerous articles on audit technology and project management for trade publications.  He is currently the editor of the audit section of the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Journal.  While he has been awarded as far back as 1999 for his data extraction and analysis work, he was recently awarded the prestigious Outstanding Achievement in Commerce Award from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners for his work on a proactive fraud detection research project.  Given all of the above, he has been commonly referred to as the "Johnny Appleseed of audit and assurance software."

From South: Take Rt. I95 North to 695 East towards Glen Burnie. Follow 695 to Exit 8, N. Hammonds Ferry Road. Bear right and Snyders just off of exit

From North: Take I95 South to 695 East towards Glen Burnie. Follow 695 to Exit 8, N. Hammonds Ferry Road. Bear right and Snyders just off of exit.

If you come from the Parkway North or South, take 695 West to Towson, Take Exit 8, Nursery Rd, (one exit from Parkway), Bear right at end of exit, go under 695, turn right onto N. Hammonds Ferry Rd. Snyders 2 blocks on right.
