Discussion: Whether you grew up listening to the Beatles or Metallica, inevitably you had one of your elders make a comment about the “noise” coming from your bedroom. Admit it..as much as you said you wouldn’t say that to your kids, you’ve done it too! IT departments are now facing similar challenges with new technologies as “Generation Y” enters the workforce. This generation has grown up with social media, smart devices and free access to cloud services. While the risks and challenges of adopting these technologies are enough to make any CISO cringe, businesses are seeing the benefits and driving the IT department to change. In this session we’ll discuss some of the more popular technologies and trends, and what is being done to implement them while still protecting the enterprise.
Speaker: Frank is Executive Director and Chief Information Security Officer with the American Red Cross responsible for overseeing and coordinating IT security efforts across the organization. He is an experienced IT leader with more than 19 years of business and technical experience specializing in information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
