Title: Senior Manager

Function: Managing the delivery of consulting services, and maintaining relationships with client executive management. This is a senior level leadership position requiring proven experience building a business through effective process, structure, and strategy development.

Organizational Relationships: Reporting directly to executive management

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities for this position include supervising, coaching, developing and leading engagement teams and individual team members 
  • The person in this role must be able to demonstrate excellent selling, organizational, IT, communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced business environment
  • Key member of the service delivery team, playing an integral role in all aspects of the organization
  • Driving establishment and implementation of service delivery procedures and activities
  • Participating in regular management meetings and initiatives
  • Reviewing workpapers, drafting reports, providing subject matter expertise in all facets of IT audit and information assurance

Staff Management:

  • Work with VP of Consulting Services and other Directors and Managers to understand the work pipeline and to determine new hire requirements
  • Establish a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, fulfills social responsibility and is conducive to attracting, retaining and motivating a diverse group of top-quality employees at all levels
  • Support the development and retention of service delivery staff. Monitor and maintain relationships with the team of consultants to support their professional growth and productivity
  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to service delivery staff
  • Schedule staff and report availability, statistics
  • Coach resources on the effective planning and execution of their work to achieve engagement objectives
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of all operations of the Consulting Services
  • Support the initiatives of the company

Sales Support:

  • Participate in sales calls and customer visits for qualified key strategic customer accounts
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, partners and sales staff
  • Participate in contract review and approval, as well as, RFP input and coordination
  • Participate in sales and account planning for strategic accounts
  • Manage the consulting services contracting process and the resolution of consulting services contract issues

Project Support:

  • Provide program overview to projects and Project Managers
  • Provide quality assurance reviews
  • Work collaboratively with all levels of management to effectively plan engagements and to understand any potential conflicts
  • Oversee the effective execution of work and resolution of any issues.
  • Provide quality reviews of engagement outputs including management comments
  • Manage projects and lead individual engagements

Client Interaction:

  • Work with Senior Management and the Client as needed to confirm the scope of work and business needs are well understood for accurate contracts and work effort estimates
  • Interact with customer management and project leadership
  • Present or review major deliverables and status reports to strategic account senior client management, as needed
  • Communicate with relevant internal stakeholders to discuss engagement procedures, progress and findings during the course of engagements.
  • Facilitate effective close out meetings with management and resolution of disputed engagement issues
  • Develop relationships and extend project opportunities with customers
  • Maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels within the customer base

Financial Management:

  • Prepare, monitor and manage P&L forecast
  • Run a consulting services business that maintains appropriate margins on engagements
  • Plan and help build annual budgets
  • Develop financial projections and actively participate in the strategic planning and operating plan process
  • Identify, advise and provide solutions to Senior Management regarding business/initiative financial trends, risks and opportunities

Requirements:

  • Applicants should have 12+ years experience performing information assurance and IT risk management reviews, have managed large engagement teams, be familiar with Controls and Controls Standards (Sarbanes Oxley, COSO, COBIT)
  • Analytical, results-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to foster strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Able to influence others and impact business revenue opportunities.
  • Strong business acumen in all key business facets
  • Develops others by providing challenging assignments and is aware of each individual's career goals
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills, have demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and possess a firm commitment to exceptional client service

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
